Nancy Townsend

​​Terri received her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Special Education from Utah State University. Additional coursework has focused on elementary education, instructional technology, gifted instruction, differentiated instruction, and standards based instruction. She has expertise in working with students of all ages, from preschool to graduate school and has the ability to teach a wide range of subject areas. In addition to her teaching career in the school district, Terri has served as a consultant and facilitator, training teachers to use differentiated instruction and standards based teaching as a means for maximizing academic success.

Lynnette grew up in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas. In 2009 she completed her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy from Lesley University. Through the years Lynnette has taught First, Second, Third, and Fourth Grades in public schools in the Denver area and in Loveland. In addition, she has coordinated two reading programs at an elementary school: one was a small group book study program and the other was a one-on-one tutorial program. She also has tutored adults and children (5 years to 8 years old), U.S. citizens and visitors from other countries.

​​Nancy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1975 from the State University of New York at Geneseo with an emphasis in Special Education. She received her Master’s degree in Reading at the same university in 1978. Nancy has taught reading for more than 30 years, working with both the school-age population and with adults. Nancy is the owner and director of The Reading Clinic, Inc. which was founded in 1990.  

Leatrice has a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver.  She graduated with a major in Psychology and minor in Reading.  She has additional course work in reading and writing with a certificate in Reading Recovery.  She has taught in the Thompson R-2J School District for 17 years teaching Intensive Reading, Reading Recovery, and First and Second grades.  She previously tutored at the Reading Clinic for 13 years (1996-2009).  Leatrice enjoys working with students and is interested in discovering the best learning style for each individual

​​Carol is a Colorado State University Alumni that graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics.  She later went to Colorado University in Denver and obtained her Colorado State teaching certification for Mathematics.  She taught for over 26 years in the Loveland/Fort Collins schools, K-12.  Carol also has a Master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Educational Technology..

Valerie has taught at Webber Junior High, and Shepardson Elementary in Fort Collins. She currently teaches Language Arts at Lucile Erwin Middle School in Loveland. While teaching at Erwin, she received her Master of Arts degree in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado. She has 11 years of experience working with students who need extra help to master reading and writing.

Biscuit has retired from “working” at The Reading Clinic, but he says hello to all of you that knew him and gave him love.  Being at home gives Biscuit more time to read.  He especially enjoys reading stories about dogs and cats.

Kathy graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  After a few years of teaching, she returned to UNC and earned her Masters of Art degree in Reading.  She has been an elementary classroom teacher as well as a Title I teacher for students in Kindergarten through Grade Three.  .

Bob Jantzen has completed studies in Post Graduate School Administration K-12 and holds a Specialist Degree in Special Education.  Bob also has an Instructional and Cognitive Coaching Certificate. Bob has worked both as an educator and administrator in diverse instructional environments, from the elementary through the university level.  

Deborah has been an educator for over thirty years.  Her credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Science Degree in Reading from Northern Illinois University, and completion of extensive post graduate work.  Deborah's teaching experience includes working as a Title 1 Reading Specialist, a Reading Recovery Teacher and as a Literacy Coach. She has also taught Kindergarten, First, Second and Sixth grade.  In addition, Deborah has facilitated in-service training for teachers in reading and writing strategies at the district and state levels.
